Tim's new Ep 'Waking Up' is now available on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon and all good distribution sites.
With his "charismatic performance and unique style of storytelling" Jimi Wyatt Ginger Studios, and a "dark heart that beats with great passion" Cicely Winford Xpress Mag, Tim Solly is quickly garnering praise as one of Australia’s most exciting new alt-country entertainers.
When his country/bluegrass outfit ‘Dirtland’ parted in 2015, Tim Solly embarked on new solo project calling on talented friends from far and wide to create a uniquely different alt-country brand. Featuring world famous pedal steel guitarist and Grammy award winner, Lucky Oceans, and one of the most talented engineers in Australia behind the desk, Jimi Wyatt (Justin Bieber, The Wu-Tang Clan, Jason Derülo, Missy Higgins) they embarked on journey to create Tim's exciting new sound.
Studio time was tackled over a 12 month period and finally in early 2017, the album 'Waking Up' was complete. Tim formed an exciting and talented new outfit. They hit the road and released the album in front of wowing Tamworth and Whittlesea Country Music Festival crowds before embarking on a National tour throughout May/June. The tour was a huge success and the album went on to receive airtime on both Kylie Adams Collier’s 'Countryfolk Around Australia’ and Rebecca Levingston's ABC Radio National program. Tim is now busy writing a follow up album to his 2017 release and he can't wait to release his new material to the Tamworth crowds in 2018.

What the critics have had to say ...
“He's got the looks… the charisma...You could have heard a spur jangle in the theatre as he sang his stories.” - David Zampatti, The West Australian
“Solly’s performance is compelling, and his presence fills the room… his dark heart beats with great passion.” - Cicely Binford, Xpress Mag
"I'm a great fan of Cohen and Dylan due to how they construct lyrics so simply but meaningfully to create feeling and paint the picture. I absolutely love many of the lines in 'A Town Called Suicide'. They are up there with the best I've had the privilge in listening to music since the early sixities." Ray Davis
“Solly has a fabulous Johnny Cash/Tex Perkins growl' - Humphrey Bower, Crikey
